When Suresh (Changed Name For Privacy) arrived at AGAPE, he was just 3 years old, but his tiny frame told a much bigger story—one of extreme malnutrition, illness, and uncertainty. He was HIV-positive, unable to walk or talk, and so weak that survival itself seemed like a battle.
A Fragile Beginning
Suresh’s early days at AGAPE were filled with constant medical attention, nutritious meals, and emotional support. He had missed out on the most basic developmental milestones, and doctors were unsure whether he would ever fully recover. But we refused to give up on him.
A Year of Small but Mighty Steps
With proper nutrition, his body slowly gained strength. Within a year, he took his first steps, an achievement that once seemed impossible. His progress was slow, but each milestone was a victory against the odds.
At age 4, Suresh visited a speech therapist who warned us that he might never speak. But we remained hopeful, and with dedicated care, he finally spoke his first words at age 5—a moment filled with joy and gratitude.

At Present: A Story of Resilience
Suresh is now a thriving 2nd grader. He runs, plays, and dreams of a bright future, thanks to the love and support of the AGAPE family and generous donors like you.
